WOMB was created by a group of women from several different countries who are working together for integration and inter-cultural understanding, as well as promoting the economic independence and empowerment of women.

This group provides a space for women from different cultures to interact and support each other. Established in mid-2006, the group arranges and involves itself in various integration projects which celebrate diversity in the local community.

Focusing on the strong role that women play in family and community life, WOMB arranges information sessions and training programmes to increase the capacity of women in the area to have more of a say in their own lives and that of the locality. It also acts as a voice for immigrants in the area on issues which affect their lives.
